Founded in 1997 by artistic director, Tiffany Payton, Dance South's Youth Company strives to offer exceptional performance opportunities for both the student member and the community. The Company is a youth dance ensemble dedicated to providing superior training and performance opportunities for young dancers. Dance South Youth Company partners with the Nutcracker Magic of Christmas ballet at the Ryman, Disney Performing Arts, Universal Orlando, and Middle Tennessee Youth Ballet to offer additional dance education and experiences. The group represents Dance South as ambassadors for the cultural and performing arts in our community, as well as promoting dance as an art form and fostering the fine arts in our community.

Company members are selected through auditions or invitation only. Anyone wishing to join the Company should call or email the artistic director to set up an audition time or submit an audition video. All dancers must attend Dance South's Summer Intensive or audition in person for Company placement.
