Tiffany Payton

Tony Speight, Instructor/Choreographer
Tony Speight was born in Nashville, TN. At the age of two years old, he began
commanding an audience with his unique dance moves. Since then, he has spent time
perfecting his dancing talent with some of Nashville’s most noted instructors. At 15, He
began starting and choreographing dance teams at schools and churches in Nashville.
While being persistent about maximizing his talent through training, commitment, and
countless hours of practice, he was blessed with the opportunity to travel on tour with
contemporary Christian artist, Nicole C. Mullen. His hard work has been invaluable toward
building an extensive knowledge of dance, and an impressive resume. He loves the stage,
and his tenacity and high-powered execution has opened many doors for him to perform in
numerous competitions, and with local and well-known artists as follows: CeCe Winans,
Alvin Love, Jr., and his father, Gino Speight just to name a few. Tony is also passionate
about choreography and teaching, and currently teaches all levels of dance, as well as all
ages.
Brittany Myers, Instructor
Brittany Myers has been dancing for seventeen years and will begin her eighth year with
Dance South. Miss Myers holds a degree in Biology and dance and is currently attending
University of Tennessee, Memphis. Before moving to White House, Brittany Myers
studied with Panama City Dance Academy, formerly Strausbaugh Dance Centre, in
Panama City, Florida and was a member of their awarding winning Applause Jazz Dance
Company. She then continued her studies with Dance South and became a member of the
Encore Dance Project. Miss Myers has received many awards performing with Encore
Dance Project and served as the group's only soloist. Miss Myers was accepted to the
prestigious Nutmeg Conservatory, and in 2004 she attended the Tennessee Governor's
School of the Arts. She is an alumni and guest performer for Encore Dance Project, as
well as guest choreographer.


As owner/director of Dance South and two time recipient of the Tennessee Governor's
School of the Arts Outstanding Teacher Award, Tiffany Payton offers her knowledge and love
of dance to young dancers wishing to learn the art of movement. With over twenty-five years
of dance experience, Ms. Payton offers her students the highest quality dance training. Her
dance training began at age 8 with many of Atlanta's finest master teachers, including Sherri
Davis, Michael Lee, Magdelena Maury, Shari Gee, Jerri Aldridge, Doris Russell, and Wade
Smith. Ms. Payton danced professionally with the Georgia Dance Theatre and is an alumni of
the Georgia Academy of Dance. Ms. Payton's credits include Six Flags Over Georgia, Miss
Georgia Pageant, Atlanta's Jazz on Tap, Eckerd Corporation, and Cartier, Inc. Ms. Payton was
accepted as a dance major at Florida State University in 1991, and later pursued a degree in
English. While in the dance major program at FSU, she not only studied ballet with Richard
Sias and Gwen Ashton and modern with Anthony Morgan, but also dance history and creative
movement for children. Ms. Payton began teaching in 1988 with Jerri's School of Dance and
later with Dance Arts Center, Georgia Academy of Dance, and the former Strausbaugh Dance
Centre, Panama City Dance Academy. Since residing in Nashville, Ms. Payton has
choreographed for JC Penney, Fox 17 Kids Club, Breast Cancer Awareness Benefits, Vanderbilt
Children's hospital, and Sumner County Symphony. Her students continually receive high
honors at regional and national competitions, and many have been accepted into programs at
the Nashville Ballet, Nashville School of the Arts, Tennessee Governor's School of the Arts,
Co. Dance, Ballet Chicago, and Nutmeg Conservatory.

Courtney Glasgow, Instructor
Courtney Glasgow is currently a student at Volunteer State College. She has studied with
Dance South for 9 years. Courtney is a founding member of Dance South's Performing
Company. She has danced for the Sumner County Symphony, Vanderbilt Children's
Hospital, JC Penny, Nashville Breast Cancer Awareness Benefit, and Fox 17. This is her 6th
year teaching with Dance South. Courtney was accepted to the Chicago Ballet and the
Nutmeg Conservatory.

Rachel Flores, Instructor
Rachel is a Nashville native, having grown up and danced in and around Nashville for over
20 years. Rachel started dancing at the age of four in a small community studio. She
attended the school of Nashville Ballet all through middle and high school, as well as many
other studios in her burning desire to learn different styles of dance. At the age of sixteen
she received her certificate to teach tap, jazz, ballet and gymnastics from the Southern
Association of Dance Masters. In 2002, she received her Bachelor of Fine Arts in
Performing Arts with a Dance Emphasis. Since her graduation, Rachel has worked
professionally all over the southeast as a professional dancer, choreographer, as well as
costume designer. Besides Dance South, Rachel also currently teaches ballet,tap, jazz,
modern, creative movement and tumbling at several different studios in the Nashville
area. She is also a current member of the Blue Moves Modern Dance Company, out of
Murfreesboro, Tn.
Maryann Witt, Instructor/Choreographer
Originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, Maryann Witt studied dance under Amy Vandergriff at
Starmaker Dance Studio and also served as the Lead Performer, Dance Captain, and
Choreographer’s Assistant in a nationally award-winning competitive show choir while in
high school. After moving to Nashville, Tennessee in 2006 to attend Belmont University,
Maryann spent 3 years as a member of Belmont University's Dance Company and received
numerous awards for dance performance as well as for her contributions and efforts to
improve the company. After graduating from Belmont University in May of 2010 with
degrees in Sociology, Music, and Dance, Maryann began her pursuit as a singer, dancer,
and performer. Currently, Maryann is a dance instructor at Dance South and Prima
Performance, one of six dancers in the professional ballet/modern dance company
Epiphany, and the Lead Singer in the band Kung Pow.
Megan Bouge, Instructor
Megan trained at Cordell Dance Studio and has over 20 years of dance experience. She has
studied with some of Nashville ’s elite instructors. At age 15, Megan became a teaching
assistant and immediately fell in love with sharing her passion of dance. Her dance
history includes extensive studies and competitions in ballet, tap, jazz, tumbling, hip hop,
lyrical, praise dance and pointe. Throughout the years, she has attended numerous
conventions, workshops and competitions. She has over 10 years of teaching experience
and specializes in teaching preschool and primary age dancers the art of ballet, tap, jazz,
tumbling, pre-pointe and hip hop.



Brandon Nichols, Instructor
Brandon grew up a bboy, free flyer, and street dancer. He began at a young age dancing,
singing, and playing the guitar, piano, and drums in local talent shows, business fairs, and
charity events. Brandon began formal training with Dance South 3 years ago. Brandon
has won numerous regional and national dance competitions. He was invited to attend
Kennesaw State University in Atlanta, Georgia. Brandon is also a recording artist and song
writer.
